SYNOPSIS: In the middle of the sea, on a lonely island, lies the parrot pet shop where the most fashionable pirates of the seven seas go to find a companion to keep on their shoulder. Here you can also find the kind parrot Pierre, whose greatest dream is to sit on a great pirate’s shoulder and go on great pirate adventures. But unfortunately he is ugly. The fashionable and flamboyant pirates who visit the shop buy only beautiful parrots. One day a little too fashionable late and desperate pirate is forced to buy the only parrot left in the shop – Pierre! Exited Pierre heads off for pirate adventure. But the adventure is nothing like Pierre expected.
PROFILE: Mads Weidner was born in 1989 in Denmark. He’s been a character animator in the making at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark. He would like to work in the field of character concept and design, storyboarding and animation. His dream is to direct his own short films. He’s fascinated both from hand-draw animation and CG, and he would like to work with both of them.
