A motley group of students professionals of the sector and a common passion for cinema have given life to a hand-made work, colored by everyone’s experience.
The third edition of the Cà Foscari Short Film Festival is honoured to present the preview of “Soglie”, a short movie made by the participants of the first course of digital cinema organized by Cà Foscari Cinema and the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage in collaboration with Oikos Venezia srl.
The course, conceived to offer a multiple approach to discover what working with cinema means in all its components, was supported by the contribution of experts belonging to different areas of production, such as Giuliana Muscio for the script, Masha Starec for the storyboard, Lisa Castagna for the script continuity, Carlo Montanaro for the direction, Roberto Calabretto for the score, Marco Bassano for the photography, Davide Tiso for sound design and Gabriele Coassin for editing and composition.
The outcome of this common experience is personal but at the same shows a shared feeling, created by the students under the supervision of Roberta Novielli, the coordination of Igor Imhoff and the collaboration of Davide Giurlando, Luca Pili, Corinne Mazzoli and Luca Bottone.
A personal interior journey, the gateway between a past with no regrets which becomes the energy to outline a confidentand new vision of the future.
There is a wall. And there is a woman. She is almost thirty, a very delicate moment of life when important decision can become irrevocable. At her feet a chaotic mass of assorted materials. The woman starts picking up the pieces and hangs them on the wall, as if she were completing a puzzle or a mosaic. A splinter of glass, a plank of wood, a ceramic tile, a fragment of brass, a marble slab. Every piece suggests a sequence of reminiscences: enigmatic and unsettled visions.
