SYNOPSIS: 1943. In a small village Amerigo, due to his crippled leg, is the only man who has not gone to war. He lives with his wife Ida and their daughter Annetta, who is very sick and in urgent need of a doctor. Ida would like to reach the closest village to search for a doctor but Amerigo is scared.…
PROFILE: Giulia Di Battista was born in San Benedetto del Tronto on the 1st June 1992. With her first short movie, the documentary Rèsce La Lune, she was one of the six students to be shortlisted to attend the Directing class at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia of Rome. With Rèsce La Lune she has also participated in many festival, winning best short film at Toronto’s ICFF (2016), “Most Moving Film” at the Sczcecin European Film Festival (2016), best short and best screenplay at the Aqua FIlm Festival (2017), a special mention at the Moviemmece festival (2017), best short in the Fluvione Corto Festival (2017) and best documentary in the International Tour Film Festival (2018).
