SYNOPSIS: In a world where all forms of marine life have disappeared, Balthazar is trying to make ends meet. He puts on shows for children in which he stages prints of ancient fish. But Balthazar has a secret: he is the owner of the last living fish on Earth.
PROFILE: Before entering the film-making department of La Fémis, Pierre Lazarus made his debut as a camera assistant and a film-set photographer for Hugo Santiago and Santiago Mitre’s movies in Argentina. Last year, he made a documentary on the Chilean painter Jaime Sepulveda.
