SYNOPSIS: Set between reality and fiction, the scenario opens with a huge television screen that warns everyone, spectators and soldiers, about the current war between the United States of America and the fictional country of Cubuchilia in Latin America. The story seems to be a theatrical show but the actors/soldiers seriously die. The life of the two factions is hard because the lack of water makes the continuation of the battle difficult. The war will end tragically like any devastating battle, a deadly game with a revealing ending.
PROFILE: Mehrnoosh Fetrat is an Iranian filmmaker. She received her MA in Cinema from the Tehran University of Art. She moved to the United States in 2017 and is presently a student at Temple University in Philadelphia. She has written, produced and directed three short films, War Game, America and Copsi, which have been screened in many festivals and galleries and won several awards.
Jon Appel is an artist, educator, and filmmaker. His animations and illustrations have appeared in a variety of cinematic and print medias, most notably Alexandre Rockwell’s Little Feet and the Nepali Times.
