SYNOPSIS: A divorced father picks up his eight-year-old daughter Lea. Everything seems just like every second weekend, but after a while Lea can’t help realizing that something is weird. So a fateful journey begins…
PROFILE: Born in 1985, Patrick Vollrath grew up in a small town in Central Germany. He was a trainee at ARRI Film and Television in Munich from 2005 to 2008 and started his career working as an editor. Then in 2008 he began his Bachelor Film Studies in Directing at the University of Music and Performing Arts – Film Academy in Vienna, graduating with honors in the class with Michael Haneke. Until today, he has already won lots of national and international prizes, taken part in the Cannes Young Lions Competition and attended the Berlinale Talent Campus. His latest film Everything will be okay was not only shown at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, but also won a bronze medal at Student Academy Awards, gained plenty of recognitions in the festivals all over the world and received a nomination for the section Live Action Short Films at the Academy Award 2016.
