SYNOPSIS: Lucas, a 13 year-old boy is the protagonist of this short film. He is seeking revenge against the man who abuses of his mother, but ends up by bringing home an even worse ” predator “, another beast.
PROFILES: Rui Neto and Joana Nicolau have been working together since their first year at college. Rui Neto was born in Setúbal in 1989. In 2011 he entered the film course at the Universidade Lusófona, with writing and directing as his main objectives. He directed some short films while he was still attending school: “Homem Estátua“, “Rastos de Pó” and the last one, “Bestas“. He is mainly influenced by Hollywood movies and Brazilian cinema. He is now working on his first independent film. Joana Nicolau was born in Lisbon in 1990. In 2007, she attended an artistic school, called Chapitô, to study Set decoration, Costumes and Props, a choice that would later lead her to study cinema. As a producer, she made some short films while she was at university: “Homem Estátua” and “Rastos de Pó“, which was awarded as Best film during a University competition which was held while she was still a second-year student.
