SYNOPSIS: Beyrouth, 2014. A Lebanese couple seems unable to have a child. Under the pressure of her husbands’ family, Rita starts questioning herself. One night, she decides to release the pressure she is feeling in the company of her friend Mona.
PROFILE: Sarah Carlot Jaber is a screenplay writer and director of BelgianLebanese origins. She was born on 12th November 1985 in Ibiza, Spain. Sarah grew up in a multicultural context and soon developed a strong interest for photography, dance and theatre. It was after concluding her university program in arts, cinema and culture that she headed towards « IAD » in Brussels. She is also interested in geopolitics and the feminist movement and is a member of an activist group called the « LilithS ». In 2013, she presented her short film Galia at the FIFF (Fribourg International Film Festival).
