Ca’ Foscari Talents: Lily Filson
Lily Filson has worked in the Italian and American film industries as an actress as well as a writer/director for the past five years and is currently affiliated with Ca’ Foscari University as a doctoral fellow in the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage. In her hometown of New Orleans, she has received recognition for her first short film Audubon Dark from Lousiana Film and Video Magazine as well as the association of Women in Film and Television of Louisiana (WIFT-LA).
As an actress, film-maker, and academic, Lily Filson‘s work is dedicated to bridging the gap between education and entertainment, bringing fascinating material to a wider audience. Her most recent projects have been the realization of two videos and original research papers presented at conferences in Vienna, Austria in April 2014 and in Berlin, Germany in March 2015.
