SYNOPSIS: When elderly man Minoru Hayasaka is forced to leave the house where he has lived for many years, he decides to visit his daughters, taking with him the pot plant that had once belonged to his deceased wife.
PROFILE: Ken Ninomiya was born in 1991 in Osaka and studies at the Osaka Geijutsu Daigaku. When he was still a high school student he debuted with the short film Shikenkan Baby (The Test-Tube Baby, 2008). Since then he has directed 35 films, many of which have earned him numerous prizes in Japan. Among them, Oowarawatei no daiboken (The Big Adventure of the Strenuous Effort, 2012), which won the critics award at the Tanabe and Benkei Film Festival, and the full-length film Slum-Polis (2014), which was his graduation project.
