SYNOPSIS: Every month Michal immerses in a Mikveh as part of the religious ritual before she and her husband can resume marital relations. When the long-awaited night arrives, nothing happens between the two. Her husband’s absence, as well as the deterioration in the intimacy between them, makes her suspect on her husband’s true identity. Longing portarys an introverted woman,who loses her feminine features and burns with her desires.
PROFILE: Nadav Mishali was born on October 3rd, 1986 in Ofakim, Israel. He was educated in a religious elementary School and then in a Yeshiva High School. In 2010 he started his studies at the School of Audio and Visual Arts of the Sapir College in Israel. In 2013, during college, he shooted “Barley In Love”, which was selected for screening at the International Tel Aviv LGBT Film Festival and during the UK Jewish Film Festival. In 2014, Longing, his latest short film, was shown for the first time atn the Cinema South International Film Festival.
