SYNOPSIS: Kolkata, 25th June 1975. The Prime Minister announced the state of emergency in the country while a young boy was sleeping cosily in his bedroom, completely oblivious and ignorant of the imminent socio-political strain. When his best friend is snatched away from him by some political entity, he hides in the solitude of his own house; however, reality wins over his imagination and he realizes that the meaning of life is to react against the reality around him.
PROFILE: Shamik K. Rakshit was born in Kolkata, India on February 29th, 1984. He studied Film Direction and Screenplay Writing at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata. At the same time, from 2008 to 2013, he worked for Fox Life India, and he is currently working as a film director and screenplay writer for Independent Filmmaker and Screenwriter.
