SYNOPSIS: Mentally ill mother loses custody and refuses to give her daughter away.
PROFILE: Ville Niemi is a Finnish film director and screenwriter. In 2021 he graduated with honors from Baltic Film School, in Estonia. His earlier works The Bitch (2020) and World’s Fire (2020) have competed and won awards in several festivals (f.e Luleå Film Festival, Pärnu Film Festival). The Bitch was also a finalist last year in Ca’Foscari. Ville’s Thesis film Lullaby (2021) has been awarded in international festivals (f.e Hallucinea Film Festival, Paris 2021 – Best Thriller; Film Olympiad, Greece 2021 – Best Thriller, Best Lead actress, Best supporting actor). After graduation Ville moved back to Finland, and is now working with his next short and first feature film.
