SYNOPSIS: Suko’s everyday life is at the core of this short film. He’s a Yezidi boy living in a rural village located among the Armenian mountains. Through his eyes, the viewer looks at the calm and cyclical sequence of seasons, that regulates the lives of the very few people who still inhabit the village. But Suko wishes to stay with his family because he is destined to live there, where ‘‘everything is the same, nothing new, nothing changes’’.
PROFILE: Director Ani Grigorian developed her interest in cinema inspired by the reading of The book of dreams by Fellini. Through her first works she expressed the need to depict the emotions, the feelings, the pain and the struggles of ordinary people in an artistic way, adopting the documentary approach. Her debut film Against colds (2020) won the audience prize at the International KIN Film Festival in Armenia.
