SYNOPSIS: “Questbound- Forbidden Ventures of the Undead – From Death to Life to Death Again”, is an animated short film about a depressed skeleton king who hasn’t felt anything in the last ten thousand years, and has given up hope on ever doing so again. Until a flamboyant noble knight enters his lair to slay him.
PROFILES: Alexander Bierling says: “In my work I explore mankind’s relationship to god, the supernatural and the surreal. I am very much inspired by stories from mythology, religion and nature. To tell these stories I don’t bind myself to a particular medium, I write books, scripts, make short animated films and sculptures with the purpose to tell a clear story about esoteric subjects”.
As about the animation, Owen Buckley explains: “I’m always looking to tell dynamic stories in film and digital art. By making animations, VFX and sculptures and above all taking a lot of enjoyment in the process of creating, I reach the most dynamic results. I’m inspired by film, the human figure and life around us”.
