SYNOPSIS: Yungche, doesn’t have an easy life: she is still a little girl, but she already must provide for her family and she has nearly no dreams that could come true. She secretly follows the lessons of Miss Yang, a teacher of the local school. These two women’s lives, apparently so different, will intertwine into a story of friendship and understanding. Fundamental elements are nature, which reveals itself in the beauty of mountains and rivers, and music, that accompanies changes of moods echoed in words, in deep gazes and in meaningful silences. Yao Wang lingers on the small gestures to emphasize an often-ignored reality and to bring to the screen the great stories of common people. The journey is one of suffering and willpower. The viewers will have to look into themselves and to rediscover the essential values of their existence by breaking down the walls of uncertainty.
