SYNOPSIS: Hamlet is on show at the theatre. The audience take place before the start of the play. Some schoolchildren also enter the scene, guided by a teacher armed with a ruler. Despite her military ways, the children are bored and start fighting, teasing each other and laughing out loud, until somebody takes it too far and it all escalates in disaster.
The minimalist design that only traces the silhouettes of the characters of a white background is paired with the humorous slapstick matrix, to play out a mechanism that is as simple as it is effective: a typically “stiff” situation such as a theatrical play is taken down by the uncontrollable tsunami of vitality that’s typical of children. The Marx brothers would have loved it.
