SYNOPSIS: In a society where children are not listened to and where traditions are not allowed to be questioned, the serene life of a 5-year-old girl is turned upside down by a terrible event that forces her to find a way to restore peace and save loved ones.
PROFILE: Minerva Rivera Bolaños was born on March 19, 1988 in Chihuahua (Chihuahua, Mexico).
She studied Plastic Arts, Graphic Design and Digital Cinema. In 2014 you started your career as a director at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. In 2017 she founded the collective Cineastas Unidas, with the aim of combating and eradicating violence against women in her school and in the surrounding areas. You have also participated in round tables with a gender perspective in cinema at the invitation of ALTRAFÍLMICA, ENAC, UNESCO, INAH on the occasion of the XX Cultural Week of Sexual Diversity and, finally, of the Government of Tabasco. In 2020, her short film “Te quiero, Alejandra”, which deals with the topic of abortion, won the South-East Feminist Film Festival, ProyectaDAS and received a special mention at the Monterrey Film Festival, Kinostart.
She currently collaborates with Xácara Culture in the area of Production and direction of art and genre projects and is working on her first work, which deals with romantic love and motherhood.
Meanwhile, she holds various positions, mainly as assistant director, production coordinator and documentary maker. She recently entered the world of publishing, with “En cualquier lugar” as one of her first publishing projects.
