SYNOPSIS: Bright colours and an atmosphere recalling the 70s open a long flashback focused on two siblings living with their butler and father. The latter, unable to talk to his sons about their mother’s passing, builds a fictional reality upon bigger and bigger lies and will be willing to do anything to preserve it untouched. To what extent is childhood and family going to have an influence on the two now grown-up siblings? The director knows how to convey details skillfully, like the goldfish from the title, thus creating a surrealistic story streaked with black humour and bewitching for the public. Fiction and reality are going to merge, reaching finally the astonishing end.
