SYNOPSIS: Downshifted Alex lives in Sri Lanka as a white king. Parents’ arrival coincides with mystical appearance of the local deity, Shamka, in the village. Alex’s peaceful life ends at this point.
BIOGRAPHY: Vera Vodynski is a movie director, a screenwriter. In 2005 she was graduted VGIK experimental director workshop leading by A. Eshpay, V. Fenchenko e S. Miroshnichenko united narrative and documentary films direction. Her experiments in synthesis of narrative and documentary films: “The Dreamers”, “Russian Dance of Okado Yosiko”, “The Celestial Country”, “Running anticlockwise” were noticed and rewarded by leading Russian international film festivals such as Artdokfest, Artkino, Gold Tambourine, ArtoDoks, National award Laurus and by others. In 2011 the short “Zhenechka” was her first debate in narrative film. She later graduated at the N.S Mikhalkov Cinematography and Theater Arts Academy. All above-mentioned movies were created by scripts written by Vera. Since 2004 Vera Vodynski directs the creative association Krique being a member of the Russian Union of Art Directors, ADCR Award winner.
