Schattenspielen. Shadow games. The art of creating shadows with one’s hands by following precise and fancy patterns; black figures on bright surfaces; a game carried out thanks to the fruitful communication between light and shadow. Simona and Carlo Truzzi are the authors of an innovative way of making this ancient Eastern art come alive in a very contemporary and entertaining way. This Italian artistic duo creates a truly unique and unforgettable experience for everyone who sees their performances. Funny as well as creative, their performances offer new interpretations, where the poetry and wit are perfectly combined, where authentic and often humourous screen shadows of world famous personalities appear on a screen. The two artists will have the leading role of the final evening of the festival. The audience will have the possibility to observe this magic world of shadows and shapes created by Simona and Carlo Truzzi.
They are two exceptional Italian artists who have performed in television programs, renewing and reinventing this ancient form of entertainment. Many have been their theatre shows performed all around the world, from Berlin to Vienna, from Rome to Gardaland. They have also been defined “the Musicians of the Light”, as their manual ability is equivalent to that of an experienced musician who has a total devotion for his instrument. They performed together with famous personality and stars, such as Cèline Dion, Phil Collins, Paco de Lucia, Zucchero, Gloria Gaynor, Gipsy King, Sofia Loren, just to quote a few. Their shadow artistry, featuring four elegantly interweaving hands, have also made Carlo Truzzi and Simona favorite guests on international television. Simona and Carlo are regular performers on the most prestigious variety shows televised in Europe, Asia, North and South America.
