PROFILE: Sanjoli Malani is a filmmaker from Mumbai, India and a recent graduate in MA in Filmmaking (with distinction) at the London Film School. Her interest in films began at a young age and since then has been eager to build a career in this field. She is attracted to comedies and stories of real life, and loves cooking when not making films. She started her career in production where she learnt to give life to her ideas despite a limited budget and to exploit the power of effective visuals. Over the years she has expanded her range of interests by approaching several multidisciplinary roles, ranging from production, directing and lights. This exposure has helped her to shift from a visual form of narration to an approach centered on contents. With the aim of moving towards feature films, she is trying to find a balance between commercial and independent filmmaking with her work. Her aim is to heal the world with films and food.
