SYNOPSIS: Dielli strives to rebuild his life and to mend the shattered relationship with his father, who had promised to abstain from drinking.
PROFILE: Dritëro Mehmetaj, a filmmaker from Prishtina, Kosovo, was born in 1986. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Film Directing from the Faculty of Arts in Prishtina in 2016, followed by a Master’s degree in Film and TV Directing from FAMU International in Prague in 2022. Dritëro shot his first documentary film in 2005 and has since dedicated himself to crafting impactful short fictions, documentaries, commercials, and music videos. Throughout his career, he has received great recognition for his work. In 2016, his short fiction film A Performance was honored with the “Best National Short” award at the acclaimed DokuFest in Kosovo. In 2018, his music video Oborri – Gjuj me dritë received the “Best Music Video” award at the Ca’ Foscari Short Film Festival in Venice. In 2019, he received another “Best National Film” award from Dokufest for his short fiction Pick a Name.
