SYNOPSIS: During their wedding ceremony, Nedra suffocates and dies, while Fahmi mourns his financial situation. Fahmi’s father takes matters into his own hands and decides to save the day.
PROFILE: Haythem Ben Hmida is a 26-year-old Tunisian filmmaker with a professional master’s degree in film writing and directing obtained at the School of Audiovisual and Cinema of Gammarth. Having always been interested in art and its different expressions, he has worked and participated in numerous cultural and artistic events. This interest led him to pursue an applied degree in writing and directing at the Higher Institute of Arts and Multimedia Manouba, where he was able to write and direct his first short film Inspector’s Confessions (fiction / 2021). Continuing to pursue his passion, he directed three other short films Detention (fiction / 2021), Static (documentary / 2022) and Panic at the Wedding (fiction / 2023).
