SYNOPSIS
Sashka, a young Ukrainian, receives a message about the death of a man with whom she had a fictional marriage to get Polish VISA. The funeral of her husband gives her an opportunity to meet her beloved Piotr, who arranged her marriage years before and decided to leave her with no explanation.
PROFILE
Katarzyna Lesisz was born in 1985, in Warsaw. Graduated from Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw, she is currently a 5th year student of film directing at the National Film School in Lodz. Her diploma movie Sashka, based on a short novel written by Etgar Keret, received an award at 43rd Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia. Her 3rd-year-fiction-movie ‘Our little game’ won Best Picture Award at 13th Student Film Festival Lodzia PoWisle, 2015. It was also screened at last Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival, Polish Film Festival in Seattle (USA), Gdynia Film Festival (the biggest polish film festival in Poland).
