SYNOPSIS: In the middle of the rural Australia, Dan, a thirty-year-old business man, was driving alone, while ignoring any phone call and running away from his past. Some time soon, he needed to fuel his car up, so he stopped at the petrol station “Petrel”, a place apparently abounded. Dan went into the station service looking for someone, but he has just gone beyond the entrance, when he was overwhelmed from a whirl of surreal events that concerned his passed life. The man was trying to escape in any way possible, but eventually he felt always ensnare inside the petrol station and consequently stuck in his memories.
Charles Broad, thanks to the setting used and the repetitive and distressing soundtrack, distorts our perception of reality into an endless nightmare.
